Origins

Incorporated in 2005, Snitch Inc was established by Peter Robinson, Sam Jacobson and Jeremy McLean, using their combined skills and experience in hardware & software engineering and extensive GPS and mobile data technologies.

Commencing in 2005 with marketing and sales pitched to personal and retail use, Snitch redefined its product & market potential in mid 2006 with the launch of Armada. This Fleet sized product and web-based service has evolved into a leading edge solution, attracting the attention of the insurance industry; Auckland and Regional Councils, and household brands and companies.

The Revolution

Snitch believed it could revolutionise the GPS Tracking industry & market in NZ and it has. Strategic sales and marketing goals have been met and exceeded. External recognition by Waitakere City as winner of the Innovation in Business Award for 2010 was the icing on the cake for our first 5 years in business.

We were nominated and actively supported in the Business Awards and in our growth by the Westpac Bank and by Vodafone, who have recognised and acknowledged our growth and significance in the NZ market.

Innovation

Recently developed and released “True Path” tracking is truly a revolution in web-design and functionality. As with a majority of our user-based development, it was guided and encouraged by our enthusiastic customer base. Snitch Inc owns, provides and supports our hardware & website design and manufacture. This reduces our, and your, technology risk and exposure to third party supply and agreements. The compact size and quality of our tracking unit enables it to be readily installed in a number of environments, including covert, motorbike, and portable applications.

A Successful Recipe

With success comes occasional adversity, and Snitch is proud of the adaptations and changes it has made to manage both growth and refocus stages. We have recently moved from direct in-house sales to a more significant Reseller based strategy and the future holds many opportunities in the development of this and a global Franchising model. Australian opportunities are finding us, and the referal business received is testament to our relationship development and brand marketing since 2005.

Where We Call Home

Snitch Inc Ltd is based in a fabulous new building at 109 Dominion Road, with beautiful views over Mt Eden, Auckland. The three Directors remain active in the day to day business. Sam the family man continues to provide brilliance in vision & development. Peter, our quiet one, is always working away in the background, constantly refining and improving hardware; electronics and circuitry to ensure a robust and innovative product.

The Team at Snitch NZ is completed by Peter McLean in an Operational Management role, Moira providing commercial & HR advice, Dion in development, trying to keep up with Jeremy's dreams and schemes; Steph M on sales support and key account management; our busy Reseller network providing sales expertise and guidance and last but not least Steph L and Michelle who deal knowledgeably with Support e-mails, calls and installation processes.

Our third Director, Jeremy, is now based in Brisbane, focusing on business development & remaining the voice and face of Snitch. He continues to strive for excellence in making the product and website reflect our customers' wants and needs.

Not to be outdone by the fabulous views and building in Auckland, Jeremy is based at Level 19, 10 Eagle Street, Brisbane, Queensland, in a historic Grade A building in Brisbane's financial hub. The building is a landmark development which has housed a range of multi-national tenants attracted by the stunning facade and prime location. With its commanding location on the Brisbane skyline, it is a fitting location for Snitch Pty Ltd as it establishes successfully into the Australian market.
